Biography

Alexandrina Marinova Stoyanova-Andreeva was born on 7 October 1985 in Pleven. In 2004, she graduated from the Panayot Pipkov National Music School in Pleven with a degree in violin. From September 2004 to June 2010, she studied and obtained a bachelor's degree in Classical singing at the Vocal Faculty of the Prof. Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music, Sofia in the class of Prof. Mila Dyulgerova. In 2014, she obtained a master's degree in Classical singing from the Prof. Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music, Sofia.

She took part in the master classes of Larisa Gergieva, Luciana D'Intino, Deda Colonna, Maurizio Torelli, Katherine Haataja, Boyko Tsvetanov, Stefka Evstatieva, Darina Takova, Anna Tomowa-Sintow and Mati Pinkas. For a long time, she worked with the great conductor and vocal pedagogue maestro Mihail Angelov, as well as with the singer Maria Stoyanova.

MAIN ROLES, AWARDS AND PARTICIPATIONS

In December 2018, she debuted as Princess Eboli in Verdi's opera "Don Carlo". In November 2018, she became a soloist at the Sofia Opera and Ballet. In June she participated and became a finalist in the Sobinov International Vocal Competition in Yaroslavl (Russia).

In May 2018, she debuted at the Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow (Russia) in the role of Grimgerde, daughter of Wotan, from Wagner's opera "Die Walküre". In January and February 2018, she prepared the role of Carmen from Bizet's opera "Carmen" at the Academy for Young Opera Singers of the Mariinsky Theatre, St. Petersburg (Russia). In 2018, she gave concerts in St. Petersburg (Russia). In December 2017, she participated in the New Year's gala concert of the Sofia Opera and Ballet. In December 2017, she took part in the gala concert of the World Opera Stars at the Belarusian Bolshoi Theatre in Minsk.

In November and December 2017, she performed the role of Filippyevna from the opera "Eugene Onegin" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky at Teatro Verdi, Trieste (Italy) and Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine (Udine, Italy).

In the beginning of October 2017, she won Second prize at the Pavel Lisitsian International Vocal Competition in Vladikavkaz (Russia).

In September 2017, she became a semi-finalist of the Elena Obraztsova International Competition for Young Opera Singers in St. Petersburg (Russia) and won a Special award and training at the Mariinsky Theatre, St. Petersburg (Russia).

In July 2017, she debuted as a "seductress" in Wagner's opera "Parsifal" at the Sofia Opera and Ballet. In April 2016, she made her debut in Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's opera "Eugene Onegin" as the Widow Larina at the Sofia Opera and Ballet.

She won a scholarship from the Jakub Pustina Competition in 2015 and a scholarship for roles from the Operosa festival in 2015.

In December 2013, she participated in a concert at the Central Military Club, Sofia, with the Orpheus Orchestra under the direction of Mario Hossen.

In August 2013, she became a finalist at the Mario Lanza Competition in Filignano (Italy). In July 2011, she took part in the semi-finales of the Rosa Ponselle Competition in Caiazzo (Italy).

In 2009, she made her debut in the role of Nicklausse in Offenbach's "Les Contes d’Hoffmann" at the Sofia Opera and Ballet. In 2006, she made her debut as Cherubino in Mozart's opera "Le Nozze di Figaro" at the Sofia Opera and Ballet.
