Zhaklin Draganova

Biography

Zhaklin Draganova was born in Sofia. in 2004 she enrolled the National School of Dance Art in the class of Rumyana Atanasova. After Rumyana Atanasova’s retirement, she completed her education till 2013 with Milena Simeonova.

In 2014 she joined the troupe of the Ruse State Opera, where till 2017 she was taking part in the ensemble, as well as soloist in all ballet and opera productions of the theatre, among which: “Swan Lake”, “Don Quixote”, “The Nutcracker”, “The Sleeping Beauty”, “Giselle”, “The Four Seasons”, “Revelations”, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” and others. Together with the troupe, she travelled at tours in Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Italy. 

In February 2017 she joined the troupe of the Sofia Opera and Ballet.

Awards:

  • 2005 she was awarded Distinction Second Class at Concours International de Dance Classic de Grasse;
  • 2006 Finalist at the Le Chausson d’Or Competition in Paris;
  • 2008 she reached the final in Youth America Grand Prix in New York;
  • 2011 she took part in the Little Stars International Children's Ballet Competition, where she was awarded Second Prize and a special distinction of the Kalina Bogoeva Foundation.
