Angelina Mancheva

Biography

Angelina Mancheva was born in Varna.

She graduated from Dobri Hristov Secondary School of Music – Varna with a degree in violin.

In 2000, she graduated from the Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of music – Violin and in 2004 she graduated in Opera singing in the class of Assoc. Prof. Irena Brаmbarova.

In the Studio opera theatre, she worked with Prof. Svetozar Donev, Prof. Rumen Neykov and Prof. Pavel Gerdjikov.

In 2005 she made a specialization with Maestro Anatoly Gusev – Milan, Italy, where she performed actively.

In the period 2008-2009 she was trainee-artist at the Stefan Makedonski National Music Theatre.

Since 2008, she has taken part in numerous concerts of the Vidin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vratsa Philharmonic Orchestra with conductor Valeri Vachev, the Sofia Symphony Orchestra with conductor Svilen Simeonov, the Pleven Philharmonic Orchestra with conductor Ivan Iliev, the Sofia Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble, the Stefan Makedonski National Music Theatre with conductors Yuli Damyanov, Igor Bogdanov and Ognyan Mitonov, Chamber Orchestra of St. Petersburg. Gabrovo with conductor Ivan Stoyanov, Chamber Orchestra "Dianopolis" - Yambol with conductor Konstantin Ilievski, Mitonissimo Chamber Orchestra with conductor Ognyan Mitonov, Gabrovo Chamber Orchestra with conductor Ivan Stoyanov, Chamber Orchestra "Dianopolis" – Yambol with conductor Konstantin Ilievski, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra in Pernik with conductor Raycho Hristov, the Symphony Orchestra of the Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music with conductor Atanas Varadinov and others, performing arias from operas, operettas and musicals.

She participated as soloist in concerts in China – 2010 and 2011 with conductor Svetoslav Borisov,

Since 2011m she has participated in children's productions of the operas "Il barbiere di Siviglia" and "De Zauberflöte " at the Sofia Opera with conductor Boris Spasov.

Since 2012, she has been a guest soloist in various productions of the State Opera Varna.

In July 2013, she took part in a Bulgarian-French project of Bizet's opera “Carmen” in France with conductor Nelly Bance.

 

In the 2013-2014 season, she was a full-time soloist of the State Opera Ruse.

Since 2016, she has been perfecting his skills with the Italian mezzo soprano and director Roberta Mattelli, with whom she has given many concerts in Italy and Bulgaria, together they gave master classes, adjudicate competitions and in 2019 they founded the music school "Bel suono e belcanto" in Sofia, where they teach successfully.

In September 2016, she won the third prize at the Second International Competition for Opera Singers - Varna, Bulgaria.

The same year he was a soloist of the Sofia Symphony in Plasenburg, Germany with conductor Lubka Biagioni.

Since 2017, together with Roberta Mattelli, she has been actively collaborating with the Boris Hristoff House-Museum, Sofia – they hold master classes and concerts of the Bel suono e belcanto School there, participate in projects with concerts and opera performances.

Since 2016, she has been working in the troupe of Sofia Opera and Ballet.

In October 2022 sang the title role in Pergolesi's opera "La serva padrona" in Austria, Slovakia under the baton of Konstantin Ilievsky.

Her repertoire includes operas by Pergolesi, Mozart, Verdi, Wagner, Puccini, Bizet, Offenbach, operettas by Kalman, Lehár, Strauss, etc.
