Born in 1984 in Bucharest, he received in 2015 a MA at the Bucharest University of Music – Canto Section, studying with tenor Ionel Voineag. Between 2012 – 2015 he attended masterclasses with Rockwell Blake, Liora Maurer, Mariana Nicolesco, Ira Siff, Lucy Arner, Maria Slatinaru‐Nistor, Marius Vlad Budoiu.
His artistic experience includes collaborations with „G. Enescu” Philharmonic Orchestra, Radio National Orchestra, Iași România National Opera House, Cluj-Napoca Romanian National Opera House, Stara Zagora Opera House, and participations in many important Romanian festivals as George Enescu International Festival, but also in Germany, with Sommer Opern Festspiele – Heidenheim, Würtembergischer Philharmonie and Saarländische Staatststheater.
Adrian Dumitru won several competitions, receiving the first prize at the China International Vocal Competition, Ningbo, 2014, the first prize at Vox Artis International Opera Competition, Sibiu, 2013, the Grand prize at Hariclea Darclée International Voice Competition, Braila 2015, and many others.
Since February 2018 he collaborated regularly with the Bucharest Romanian National Opera House. Since February 2022 to May 2022 he was employee of Iași Romanian National Opera House. Since 29 of June 2022 he is employee of the Brașov Opera House, and from January 2025 he is employee of the Bucharest Romanian National Opera House.
