On the 4th of April, 11am, we invite you to club “Richard Wagner”, to a matinee dedicated to the opera “Lohengrin” and its premiere in 2024 at the Sofia Opera
Together with Plamen Kartaloff, the performance’s director and Yuliya Krasteva (assistant director) we will discuss the most important themes and messages in the piece: faith, trust and the fateful questions which change everything. We’re going to acquaint you with the history of the swan night and with its symbolism, dramatism and musical grandeur.
As part of the repertoire, you will hear performances by Alma-Lisa Bandalovska, Daniel Ostretsov, Ventseslav Anastasov and Biser Georgiev under the piano accompaniment of Agnes Dankova. We will also dive into the world of “Tannhäuser” through specially chosen music fragments: the latest Wagner title in our repertoire.
