The Sofia Opera issues vouchers as compensation for the canceled performances

Dear visitors,

In connection with the pandemic and the state of emergency imposed due to COVID-19 in the country, the Sofia Opera and Ballet ceased its activity and unfortunately many of the performances from the current repertoire were canceled during the 2019/2020 season (for performances in the period from 08.03.20 to 02.08.20).

On this occasion, we offer the following compensation to all spectators who have purchased tickets for the canceled performances:
1) Issuance of a voucher for the value of purchased tickets, which can be exchanged for tickets from the new program of performances of the Sofia Opera and Ballet. The value of the newly selected tickets cannot be less than the already purchased ones, and when choosing tickets with a higher price, only the difference in their value is paid extra.

Vouchers are issued from 01.06.20 to 30.09.20, and their validity is until July 31, 2021.

Depending on how the tickets were purchased, the vouchers will be issued as follows:

- For tickets purchased from the Ticket Office (1 Vrabcha Street) - vouchers will be issued by the Ticket Office of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, upon provision of tickets with intact integrity and receipt;

- For tickets purchased online - proposal for issuing a voucher will be sent automatically to the emails with which users are registered on the website of the Sofia Opera and Ballet; If a spectator does not wish to take advantage of proposal for issuing a voucher, it is necessary to visit the Ticket Office, carrying the printed electronic tickets in order to receive the chosen compensation.

- For tickets purchased from EasyPay box offices - new tickets are issued by the Ticket Office of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, providing the printed ticket;

- For tickets purchased from Eventim - new tickets are issued by the Ticket Office of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, providing the ticket purchased by Eventim.

2)  Revalidation of tickets for another show of your choice. The re-validation is performed at the Ticket Office (applies to tickets purchased from the Ticket Office, website, Eventim, Easy Pay box office). It is necessary to provide the online ticket on paper within 30.09.20.

3) Refund of the full amount of purchased tickets. The procedure will be performed only at the Ticket Office of the Sofia Opera and Ballet (1 Vrabcha Street) within 15.08.20.

- Tickets purchased online can also be refunded by bank transfer. Please send inquiries for refund by bank transfer within 15.08.20 to e-mail address: sales@operasofia.bg.

The ticket office will work from 01.06.2020 with the working hours regulated for the cashiers, introducing mandatory extraordinary 15-minute breaks every two astronomical hours for disinfection of desktops and common areas. It is obligatory for every spectator who visits the Ticket Office to wear a protective mask. Only two spectators are allowed in the office at a time.

The organization for entering and exiting the ticket office will be one-way, as the entrance will be through the official doors of the ticket office, and the exit from another door in the room.
