Biography

Ionut Pascu, baritone, was born in Romania.

His repertoire includes Lescaut in “Manon Lescaut” (Puccini), the title role in “Don Giovanni” (Mozart), the title role in “Oedipe” (Enescu), the title role in “Der fliegende Hollander” (Wagner), Escamillo in “Carmen” (Bizet), the title role in “Rigoletto” and in “Macbeth”, Iago in “Otello” (Verdi) and others.

He performs in the opera houses of Liege, Sofia, Padova, Valencia, Daegu, Salerno, Palermo, Catania, Tirana, Romania and others. At the Israeli Opera he performed the title role in “Yevgeni Onegin” (Tchaikovsky), the title role in “Aleko” (Rachmaninoff), Alfio in “Cavalleria rusticana” (Mascagni), Tonio in “Pagliacci” (Leoncavallo), the Four Villains in “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” (Offenbach), Enrico in “Lucia di Lammermoor” (Donizetti), Germont in “La traviata”, Miller in “Luisa Miller”, Renato in “Un ballo in maschera”, Don Carlo in “La forza del destino” (Verdi) and others.
