Biography

Sylvia Teneya was born in Sofia, graduated from the “Lyubomir Pipkov” National Music School, Where she studied piano and clarinet, andlater from the “Pancho Vladigerov” Academy, Sofia, in opera singing.

She has won competitions, including: the National Competition for Young Opera Singers sto Brambarov”, “Svetoslav Obretenov”, “Classic Mania” - Vienna and others.

She has participated in master classes of Raina Kabaivanska, Stefka Evstatieya, Anna Tom owa-Sintow.

She has specialized at Accademia Chigiana and “Orazio Vecchi” with educators Mrella Parutto and Antonio Boyer - Rome and Renata Scotto in the Opera Studio at the Academy of Santa Cecilia - Rome, Italy. For a short period she has developed a rich operatic as well as cantata and oratorio repertoire.
