Biography
Kalle Wigle was born in Stockholm, Sweden. In 2016 he graduated from The Royal Ballet Upper School under the direction of Christopher Powney.
In 2016 he joined Royal Swedish Ballet where he danced several leading parts under the direction of Johannes Öhman (2016-2017) and Nicolas LeRiche (2017-2023), before joining Staatsballett Berlin in 2023 as a soloist under Christian Spuck.
Kalle Wigle since joining Staatsballett Berlin has performed, amongst other parts, as prince Désiré in Sleeping Beauty by Marcia Haydee, Albrecht in Giselle by Patrice Bart, and most recently Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux by George Balanchine in the 25th anniversary gala celebrating Staatsballett Berlin.
In 2018 he was invited to perform as a guest at the Sarasota Opera House, USA, and was awarded the Gallodier Award for his contributions to dance in Sweden 2023.
