Biography
Federica Guida, the young Italian soprano made her debut in the world of opera by winning some of the most prestigious international contests including „As.Li.Co“ and “CLIP” in Portofino. These awards paved her way towards a brilliant international career which allowed her to perform on the stages of the Vienna Staatsoper, “La Scala” and the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. She collaborates with conductors such as Riccardo Chailly, James Conlon, Daniel Oren, Placido Domingo, Gabriele Ferro and Andrea Battistoni.
In 2021, she debuted at “La Scala” in Milano as Despina in “Così fan tutte” by Mozart. Consequently, she appeared as Gilda in “Rigoletto” at “Teatro Antico” in Taormina together with Leo Nucci who also directed the production, under the conductorship of Placido Domingo. She performed the role of Musetta in “La Boheme” at theater “Massimo” in Palermo: a role which she later performed at the “Puccini” festival, at theater “Reggio” in Torino and at the opera in Koln. She debuted at theater “Massimo” in Palermo as Leila in „Les Pêcheurs de perles“ by Bizet: a role which she also performs in Buenos Aires. She plays the role of Oscar in “Un ballo in maschera” at “La Scala”, conducted by Nicola Luisotti, the role of Nanetta in “Falstaff” at the Paris opera and the role of Adina in “ L'elisir d'amore” in Torino. She plays Lauretta in “Gianni Schicchi”, based on the opera film by Damiano Michieletto. Among her most recent engagements is her debut as Marguerite in “Faust” by Gounod in Palermo, conducted by Frédéric Chaslin.
