The National Opera and Ballet invites its youngest spectators from the age of four to 14 to the children's opera "Hänsel and Gretel" by Engelbert Humperdinck.
The Brothers Grimm’s fairy tale has excited the minds of children for generations. It influences and makes it interesting not only for the young spectators, but also for their parents. The fairy tale is not only a world of fantasy, but also a source of wisdom.
"Playing for children is both more responsible and more difficult. They are like a litmus test, they feel everything. When you are not honest with them, they understand. Children do not forgive mistakes. They start talking. Once you lose their attention, you can't get it back, "said the opera singer Plamen Papazikov, who will perform the witch. Rositsa Indzheva will perform the role of Hänsel.
The production "Hänsel and Gretel" has been staged on more than 50 stages in Germany, translated into over 20 languages and is performed all over the world to the delight of young spectators.Itsactionisfullofadventureandtension.
"This is a classic and unfading spectacle for children", added the stage director Krasimir Tsanovski.
The message of the work is about the strength of family values and resistance to challenges, as well as faith in someone who loves you and watches over you, if your thoughts are good. The actors rehearse hard and want to play in more children's performances, because the children perceive the production in their own way, and this makes the actors be part of their children's world.
