Five new instruments are already in the hands of the Sofia Opera and Ballet orchestra members: four tenor trombones and one bass trombone purchased from “Antoine Courtois”: the leading brass musical instruments brand.

Simeon Ivanov, Stefan Palahanski, Pavlin Pavlov and Emil-George Atanasov delivered a performance filled with holiday spirit.

The audience will hear the new instruments’ wonderful sound during the upcoming performances of our December repertoire: the opera “La Traviata”, the ballet “The Nutcracker” and our traditional New Year’s Eve concerts.

The brand “Antoine Courtois”, the leading manufacturer of brass musical instruments, was founded in Paris, in 1789. Today, it is one of “Buffet Crampon” Group’s signature brands.

New trumpets, tubas and percussion instruments are expected to be purchased during the following months.
