A stunning performance which tells the ancient Greek tale of the same name by Sophocles, adapted by the Austrian writer Hugo von Hofmannsthal. Director Plamen Kartaloff creates an almost cinematic take on Richard Strauss’ operas enriched with Sven Jonke’s innovative scenography, Leo Kulas’ costumes and Fredy Franzutti’s choreography.
