The gala concert will open with the overture and the famous “Casta Diva” aria from “Norma”.
The wonderful Jessica Pratt will perform three additional arias from operas by Vincenzo Bellini: Elvira’s aria Son Vergin vezzosa from “I Puritani”, Amina’s aria Come per me sereno from “La Somnambula” and Julietta’s aria Eccomi in lieta vesta from “Montagues and Capulets”.
After we heard the amazing madness scene of Lucia di Lammermoor created by Gaetano Donizetti, the Regnava nel silenzio scene from Act I will now sound on stage.
Jessica Pratt will also perform as another of her favorite heroines: Ophelia from Ambroise Thomas’ “Hamlet” with the exceptional aria À vos jeux, mes amis.
Besides famous overtures by Bellini, Rossini and Donizetti, conductor Francesco Ivan Ciampa has also chosen the beautiful Meditation from the opera “Thais” by Jules Massenet.
Amina’s scene Ah! Non credea mirarti from “La Somnambula” is part of Pratt’s 8th of March concert with conductor Daniel Oren.
