The world-famous soprano Jessica Pratt returns to Bulgaria to bring more joy to the audience with a new dose of vocal virtuosity.
She has dedicated her entire career to the bel canto genre and is an expert in performing operas by Donizetti and Bellini. Jessica Pratt is an avid researcher of their works and constantly does research of her own on how the scores have originally sounded.
That is why she chose to perform two very famous arias in their original tonalities during her concert which are higher than commonly performed today. The performance will be helmed by one of the most impressive Italian conductors of the new generation.
Francesco Ivan Ciampa, conductor: “Pratt has sung at the biggest world theaters: “Met”, “La Scala”; however, she has never sacrificed her purity, good intentions and her way of being an artist. She’s the artist I value, I believe, above all others because she’s the best in the world, not only because she’s so good but because her work is almost sacred-like. You don’t see this everyday nowadays because too much art is being made in order to attract audiences with something very “contemporary” but it has nothing to do with true art. True art is a sacrifice.”
