Long applauses, boisterous audience and incredible atmosphere, accompanied the opening of the first summer festival "Portal of the Two Worlds" (29 August – 7 September 2020), which is held at the late antique Tsari Mali Grad Fortress, above the village of Belchin.

Brilliant soloists, orchestra and chorus of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, with conductor – Zhorzh Dimitrov.
The spectacle was performed at the historical place, about which was written the opera, there high, above the hills of Samokov and in front of audience from Samokov.
The first summer festival of the Sofia Opera "Portal of the Two Worlds" – Tsari Mali Grad was opened officially by the Director of the Opera Maestro Plamen Kartaloff, the Mayor of Samokov Mr. Vladimir Georgiev, Mr. Simeon Peshov – President of the Board of Directors of the Revival of Belchin Foundation and the Director of the Tsari Mali Grad Museum Complex Dr. Veselin Hadzhiangelov.

On Sunday the festival continued with the opera "Carmen" by Georges Bizet.
