The program includes the three immortal works of Giuseppe Verdi, the opera performances of "Troubadour", "Rigoletto" and "La Traviata". Performances from the golden fund of our first opera house with the participation of Vladimir Stoyanov, awarded the prestigious Knight of Verdi award.

On June 21, Vladimir Stoyanov will delight the audience with his beloved character Rigoletto in the company of the excellent soloists of the Sofia Opera - Daniel Damyanov, Diana Vasileva, Svetozar Rangelov, Alexandrina Stoyanova-Andreeva, Blagovesta Mekki-Tsvetkova, Nikolay Petrov, Atanas Mladenov, Angel Antonov and others.

With this production of the director Plamen Kartaloff our first opera theater visited Japan in 2005.

On June 19 at 19:00 the Sofia Opera will present the opera "Il trovatore" by Giuseppe Verdi.
The Italian maestro composed the music of "Il trovatore" in just twenty-nine days, captivated by the plot, which comes to life in the melodies that became favorite revolutionary songs for the people of Italy in their struggle of that time.
To this day, this masterpiece is among the most sought-after titles not only on the opera poster, but with the beloved arias and on the concert podium.

The director, scenographer and lighting designer of the new production of the Sofia Opera and Ballet is the Italian director Filippo Tonon, Christina Achetti is a costume designer, the conductor is Grigor Palikarov.

Vladimir Stoyanov is a guest in the role of Count di Luna. The exceptional soloists of our first opera theater take part in the audience's favorite title - Radostina Nikolaeva, Gergana Rusekova, Kostadin Andreev, Biser Georgiev, Bayasgalan Dashnyam, Krassimir Dinev, Iliya Iliev, Slavi Manov.

Vladimir Stoyanov will also play the role of Giorgio Germont in the Tutto Verdi cycle in the opera "La traviata" on June 25 this year.

This first lyrical-psychological opera in the genre failed at its premiere in Venice.
Verdi asked himself, whose fault was it for the failure - the singers or his... And he decided: "time will tell".
"La traviata or The Fallen Woman" became a favorite of audiences and artists.
