“The Bolshoi Direction: a documentary on the Sofia Opera’s tour at the Bolshoi theater in 2018 traces this unique historic tour containing as many as six titles: the Bulgarian opera “Yana’s Nine Brothers” by Lyubomir Pipkov, the ballet “Le Corsaire” by Adolf Adam and Wagner’s “Der Ring des Nibelungen” tetralogy. The movie is shot as a tour of Bolshoi theater which gives us insight into the history and scale of this world-famous stage, with the six opera nights and the six Bulgarian performances portrayed in separate episodes.
