Joshua Legg to perform on the Sofia Opera stage: one of the world-renowned performers of the role of Zorba

Joshua Legg: the Lodz Polish ballet star to perform in Lorca Massine’s legendary production of “Zorba the Greek” by Mikis Theodorakis.

The Australian ballet dancer and choreographer developed his skills at the British national ballet school in London. At the beginning of his career, he was a soloist at the Sibiu ballet, Romania; since 2017, he’s been working at the “Wielki” theater in Lodz.

His performances in different classic and modern performances among which “Anna Karenina”, “Paquita”, “Tristan und Isolde”, “Don Quixote”, “Swan Lake”, “Carmina Burana”, “The Nutcracker”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “Giselle” all receive exalted reviews.

Besides a brilliant premiere lead dancer, he’s also an inspired choreographer whose productions have won multiple awards.

Brilliant moments in his career are his guest performances in the role of Zorba at the “Ataturk” Cultural institute in Istanbul, at the ancient theater in Efes and at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens.

Also starring on the 26th of April together with Joshua Legg: Emil Yordanov as John, Pamela Pandova-Baneva debuting as Marina, Marina Marinova as Madam Ortans and Vincenzo Karuana as Manolios. With the impressive participation of the Sofia Opera corps de ballet.
