On the 3rd of July, Kammersängerin Yordanka Derilova will perform as Brunhilde in “Götterdämmerung”

On the 3rd of July, chamber singer Yordanka Derilova will perform as Brunhilde in “Götterdämmerung”: the fourth opera from the “Der Ring des Nibelungen” tetralogy. Director: Plamen Kartaloff; conductor: Evan-Alexis Christ.

Yordanka Derilova has been a member of the Anhaltisches Theater ensemble in Dessau, Germany, since 2003. Before that, she did consistent performances in Prague. Along with those, she sung in Italy, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Cyprus, Qatar, Turkey, Russia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, Spain and Germany.

She was nominated for the Singer of the year award by the “Opernwelt” magazine, for her role of Isolde in “Tristan und Isolde”. She was awarded the “Premio di Aida” prize at the “Vissi d’Arte” contest in Salerno in 2005 as well as the Theo Theatre prize for the best female singer. In 2016, she won the “Thalie” theatrical award for singer of the year in the Czech Republic. Since 2009, she bears the title of Kammersängerin.

With the roles of Aida, Brunhilde in “Die Walküre”, “Siegfried” and “Götterdämmerung”, Turandot, Lady McBeth, Elektra, Tosca, Abigail, Amelia, Odabella, Madama Butterfly, Isolde and Ortrud, Yordanka tours in many famous opera theaters such as Festspielhaus Salzburg, the Royal opera in Stockholm, the “Massimo Bellini” theater in Catania, the Festival hall in Bregenz, the Manheim National theater, the theaters in Dortmund, Hannover, Munich, at the summer festival Sankt Margaretten, Opera de Massi, Palau de la Musica in Barcelona.
