The soprano celebrates 20 years on stage
On 19 March at 19 h, the Sofia Opera will celebrate 20 years artistic activity of the singer Gabriela Georgieva, who will perform the role of Norma in the opera of the same name by Vincenzo Bellini. The story of the rebellious Gauls against the Roman conquerors is exposed with great dramatic tension. On this background, the story of the high priestess Norma, who lost the love of her husband Pollione (Martin Iliev), who fell in love with the young priestess Adalgisa (Sofia debut in this role of Tsvetana Bandalovska), is told with exquisiteness and emotional intensity. Also participating are Svetozar Rangelov (Oroveso), Ivanka Ninova (Clotilde) Krassimir Dinev (Flavio). Conductor Zhorzh Dimitrov. Directed by Hugo De Ana.
