This year, from the 6th till the 11th of July, the fourth international ballet contest “Sara-Nora Prima” took place.
On the 11th of July, at the Burgas national opera, the award ceremony took place. After all awards were presented, the evening closed with a brilliant gala concert during which the award laureates performed.
The women’s gold medal in the mature age category was given to Ami Inoue from Japan who is part of the Sofia Opera and Ballet ensemble.
The prima ballerina Marta Petkova (artistic director of the Sofia Opera ballet) was a member of the international jury. She offered Hristiyan Gichev participation opportunities in Sofia Opera ballet performances: the latter won first place in the youth category. Ana Maria Ilieva received the third place award in the young women’s category. Samuil Nedelin won first place in the men’s category and Valeria Minkova: the overall good performance award.
Andrea Genova received an official contract for joining the Sofia Opera ballet troupe: the second place award in the women’s category.
