We introduce Dobrin Dosev: an actor and singer who will take part in the “The Hermit of Rila” production, in the role of a mature Ivan Rilski.

Dosev graduated from UNSS but his passion for theater turned out to be stronger; immediately after, he applied to NATFIZ “Kr. Sarafov”. He graduated with a degree in drama theater acting, cinema and television, in Nikola Korabov and Stefan Danailov’s classes. He’s worked in theaters in Lovech, Pazardzhik, at the “Ivan Vasov” National theater, at the “Aleko Konstantinov” theater of satire, at “Theater 199”, at the “Zad kanala” small city theater, at the “Salza I smyah” theater. Since 2015, he has been a part of the Plovdiv Drama theater troupe.

Dobrin has performed more than forty theatrical roles and has been a part of more than twenty movies. He has received a series of nominations and awards from prestigious festivals, both in Bulgaria and abroad. He has recorded several plays which take him back to his school years when he played in a rock band.

The “Opera at the Square” festival opens on the 11^th, 12^th and 13^th of July in front of the “St. Alexander Nevsky” patriarchic cathedral, with performances of “The Hermit of Rila”; script by Tihomir Pavlov and score by Father Kiril Popov. Plamen Kartaloff is the director of this monumental production and the performances are dedicated to the 1160^th anniversary of the Bulgarian nation’s christening. Conductors: Zhorzh Dimitrov (11^th of July) and Stara Zagora bishop Cyprian (12^th and 13^th of July).
