The first two volumes of “Opera and Nature”: a selection of director Plamen Kartaloff’s inspiring opera performances, will be presented by the author at the Petko R. Slaveykov Regional Public Library in Veliko Tarnovo. The event will take place with the Veliko Tarnovo municipality’s support, on the 22nd of June (Monday), 2026, 17:30.
Volume I includes the path of developing the idea of the symbiosis between opera and nature as well as photos, professional reviews and a variety of other materials on all productions performed at the following four location: “Tsaravets” hill, “Alexander Batenberg” square, “Georgi Sava Rakovski” military academy park and “St. Alexander Nevsky” square.
Volume II presents the productions performed at: the Belogradchik rocks, the Magura cave, the Vidin river coast lane, the “Baba Vida” historical keep, Pancharevo Lake, the Roman square at “Boyana” Cinema center and the late antiquity keep “Tsari Mali Grad”.
