THE EXCITING SPECTACLE “АNTIGONE”/ “ЕLЕКТRА” AGAIN IN THE OPERA

On 19 January at 16.00 h the spectators in Sofia Opera will have the chance to see the marvellous production of the choreographer Sergei Bobrov of the ballets “Antigone” – after Mark Pekarsky’s music and “Elektra” – after Richard Strauss’ music.

The ballet “Antigone” was written after Sophocles’ tragedy of the same name. The musical composition is by Mark Pekarsky. The libretto is by Sergey Bobrov. The ballet “Elektra” is based on the tragedies by Sophocles and Euripides and the one-act opera by Richard Strauss from 1909, written after Hugo von Hoffmansthal’s play. The libretto is by Yuri Grigorovich.

The duration of the spectacle is 120 minutes, with 1 20-minutes pause.

Tickets at the price of BGN 10 to 40 are sold at the Ticket office of Sofia Opera and ballet, 1, Vrabcha Str., in Eventim’s distribution net and online at www.operasofia.bg.
