The world-known Giampiero Sobrino is expanding the repertoire of the clarinet

On 30 November, Thursday, at 19:00 h, the Italian Giampiero Sobrino will give a concert with his clarinet. In the programme are included authors like Wagner, Weber and Brahms. Conductor of the concert will be Ira Levin.

The musical critique is enthusiastic about the acting mastery of Giampiero Sobrino, his ability always to be up to the mark at each of his performances and about his great talent. Danny Gaysin wrote about the musician: “His mastery of the instrument is peerless. When he plays, the audience is listening enchanted”. And Gianni Villani pointed out: “Few clarinet players in the XXth century have contributed tо the expansion of the repertoire of this instrument and among them we have to mention Sobrino. The music, which sounds from his instrument, consists of its own expressiveness. Sobrino strives to a tender, mature sensitivity and everything turns into a lyrical triumph, into a bright culmination, dedicated to pure beauty”.
