Tiziana Carraro graduated in piano and opera singing. She made her debut at Festival della Valle d’Itria of Martina Franca in 1991 in the role of Aquilio in Farnace by Vivaldi, getting a great personal success by public and critics and she returned several times to sing in the same festival.

In 1994 she won a young opera singer competition by “Amici del Loggione del Teatro alla Scala”, and also the AsLiCo competition that allowed her to debut in the title role of “La Diavolessa” by Galuppi.

She performed in major Italian and international theatres such as: Monte
-Carlo, Budapest, Reutlingen, Napoli (Turco in Italia), Parma, Treviso, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Macerata, Ravenna, Verona (Nabucco – De Ana/Oren), Pisa.

She made her debut in some of the main roles for mezzosoprano such as: Eboli in Don Carlo, Azucena in Trovatore, Zaida in Turco in Italia, Tisbe in Cenerentola (director Pizzi), Fulvia in Pietra del Paragone, Elisetta in Matrimonio Segreto, Suzuki in Butterfly (conductor Renzetti), Beppe in Amico Fritz (conductor Mercurio), Amneris in Aida (productions by Zeffirelli/Stefanelli for Fondazione Toscanini and Pizzi/Renzetti at Megaron of Athens).

She often sings sacred music, such as Requiem by Mozart and Verdi, IX symphony by Beethoven, Stabat Mater by Pergolesi and Rossini, Dies Iste and Risurrezione di Lazzaro by Perosi and Juditha Triumphas by Vivaldi.

Among the conductors with which she worked there are: Campanella, Renzetti, De Bernart, Campori, Oren, Mercurio, Rovaris, Tolomelli, Stefanelli.

Recently she performed in Tancredi by Rossini (in the role “en travesti” of Roggiero) at Teatro S. Carlo of Napoli.

Among her future engagements, there is her participation to the summer season of Arena of Verona in the opera Nabucco by Verdi (as
Fenena) and her debut in the title role of Carmen by Bizet in Pisa.
