Happy International Ballet Day!

29th of April!

Happy International Ballet Day to the Sofia Opera, its orchestra and conductors!

We proudly remind you of our ballet troupe’s rich repertoire for this season: “Romeo and Juliet” by Sergei Prokofiev, “The Nutcracker”, “Swan Lake” and “The Sleeping Beauty” by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, “Giselle” and “Le Corsaire” by Adolphe Adam, “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff, “La Bayadere” and “Paquita” by Ludwing Minkus, “Carmen” by Bizet/Shchedrin, “Anna Karenina”, “The Great Gatsby” and “Pride and Prejudice” with choreography by Leo Muic, “Zorba the Greek” by Mikis Theodorakis in Lorca Massine’s take.

We also congratulate our youngest audience which attends our adapted children’s performances of “The Sleeping Beauty” and “Cinderella”.

We expect you at Pancharevo Lake for our traditional “Muses on the Water” festival with “Swan Lake”, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “Zorba the Greek” so we may experience the charm of summer evenings together.

This night, the performance of “La Bayadere will take place!”
