On 12.12 the world renowned bass Roberto Scandiuzzi – for the first time on the Sofia stage in the role of Filippo II

With his charismatic individuality, with the beauty of his voice and with his harmonic and noble timbre Roberto Scandiuzzi conquers the opera stages all over the world. The bass is permanent guest on the biggest opera theatres – in Europe and America.

On 12 December, for the first time on the stage of Sofia Opera and Ballet, Roberto Scandiuzzi will appear in the role of Filippo II.

The bass was born in Treviso, Italy, where he studied opera singing. In 1992 he made his debut at La Scala di Milano, in “Le nozze di Figaro”, under the baton of Riccardo Muti.

With his interpretation of Fiesco in “Simon Boccanegra” at Covent Garden, conducted by Georg Solti, the singer acquired world celebrity.

Today, Roberto Scandiuzzi is called by the music critique all over the world the deepest bass voice.

The Bulgarian audience will have the chance to see his dramatic figure of Filippo II and to get familiar with the art of the best Verdi artist of our time.
