APOCALYPSE WHEN?

WITH ORLIN GORANOV, MARIAN BACHEV, DIANA LYUBENOVA

Our time. The mankind is preparing itself to stand before the next date of the Apocalypse – the 21st.

A man in his prime wants to commit suicide. Once again. Ivan (Orlin Goranov) is a Bulgarian, torn by credits, who is longing to find a meaning in his life by having more and more new things.

Boryana (Diana Lyubenova) is his credit inspector. Their ways crossed, when Ivan tried for the 38th time to refinance his credits, in order to provide himself on the Internet a wife from Siberia. Hristian (Marian Bachev) is Ivan’s only son. Confirmed Buddhist, ardent conservationist, he travels all over the country – he puts out forest fires and lies down in front of excavators. He is passionately in love with Eva – their neighbour.

Eva is a girl, obsessed with the fear of the end of the world. Taking 20 tranquilizers per day, she has replaced her life with watching TV, on the watch for signs for the coming of the Apocalypse.

The destinies of the four characters are weaving spectacularly with each other when, tempted with the big prize, they enter the newest TV reality format “The Last Days of One Family”.

The apartment of Ivan and Hristian turns into a studio with 109 cameras, broadcasting 24 hours. The show becomes greater than life.

Brilliant satire about the mutated Homo sapiens, whom the media turn into Homo medias.

The three authors: Miroslav Milkov, Yordan Kolev and Todor Karagyaurov (three of them screenwriters in “Slavi’s Show”) are making their debut in theatre with the brightness of stars. The scenography is by Petar Mitev. The music is by Evgeny Gospodinov in the style of the legends AC/DC.

The spectacle is a professional debute of Vyara Zaykova – from the TV reality “Star Machine”, “Communal Ownership” and “Morning Bloc”.

Production – Boris Pankin.
