The Netherlands national ballet prima ballerina received long exalted applause after the end of the “Sleeping Beauty” performance by Tchaikovsky. She impressively portrayed the role of Aurora.

Also starring: Tsetso Ivanov as prince Desire, Pamela Pandova-Baneva as the fairy Lilac, Charlotte Berard as the fairy Karabos, Simeon Atanasov as the Blue bird, Vyara Ivancheva as the Gentle fairy and princess Florina.

All our soloists and our corps de ballet danced with a lot of inspiration. The Sofia Opera orchestra was conducted by Andrei Galanov. Production and directorship by Maria Ilieva, with majestic decors by Ivan Savov and Maria Blazheva’s wonderful costumes.

The performances of “Sleeping Beauty” continue today and tomorrow.
