On 18 February on the stage of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, Roberto Scandiuzzi will present himself in the role of Filippo II.

The bass was born in Treviso, Italy, where he studied Opera singing. In 1992, he made his debut at La scala di Milano, in “Le nozze di Figaro”, under the baton of Riccardo Muti. With his interpretation of Fiesco in “Simon Boccanegra” at Covent Garden, under the baton of Sir Georg Solti, the singer acquired world fame.

Today, Roberto Scandiuzzi is called by the music critique all over the world the deepest bass voice.

The Bulgarian audience will have the chance to see his dramatic character of Filippo II and to be part of the art of the best Verdi artist of our time.
