Lucía Grau

Biography

Born in Asunción, Paraguay. Started studying ballet at the age of 3 in "Academia de Danza Tala Ern de Retivoff". At the age of 15 was accepted at "Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin" with a scholarship (2012 - 2013). One year later she moved to Houston, USA after receiving a scholarship to train at the "Houston Ballet Academy" (2013 - 2014). 

Took part in other ballet courses such as Summer Intensives at "Integrarte Ballet Coaching" under the direction of Erica Cornejo and Carlos Molina in Boston and "Centre de Dansa de Catalunya" under the direction of Roser Muñoz and Joan Boix in Barcelona.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

From 2018 - 2020 member of Ballet Clásico y Moderno Municipal in Asunción, Paraguay. Did soloist roles such as: Friends of Kitri in Don Quixote, The Shades in La Bayadere and Soloist Variations in Paquita, Coppelia and The Nutcracker.

In 2020 - 2021 member of the Ballet Nice Méditerranée for the Don Quixote Production as Corps de Ballet.

In 2022 member of State Opera Plovdiv. Performed: Anna Karenina by Leo Mujic as Corps de Ballet and Women in D Minor - Long Christmas Dinner by Radu Poklitaru as Corps de Ballet and Soloist.
