BASED ON WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE'S MONOLOGUES

Synopsis

The musical theatre spectacle "THE STARS OF VENICE" is a creative idea of Dimitar Kostantsaliev and Todor Yankulov, combining classic monologues by William Shakespeare with contemporary situational dialogues.

The spectacle includes a cappella music from pre-classical and contemporary times, as well as popular pop-rock music, supported by attractive choreographic solutions (dances in the style of the eras).

It tells the story of six boys who are on a walk in the mountains and out of boredom imagine they were at a carnival in Venice. This notion becomes reality and the boys come face to face with beautiful Venetian women. How to contact them when they are from different eras? Shakespeare's sonnets and monologues from the plays “Romeo and Juliet”, “Love's Labor's Lost”, “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” and “As You Like It” are used. A spectacle about love, dreams and the meaning of life, told with a lot of humour and mood.
