Charlotte Berard

Biography

Charlotte Berard was born in Paris, France. In 2007 she enrolled the Paris National Conservatoire, France. In 2009 she enrolled the School of the Marseille National Opera, France, where she graduated 3 years later. In September 2012 she enrolled the Central School of Ballet and moved to London. She took part in the Annual Tour. In July 2013 she entered the professional troupe of the Brussels International Ballet School, directed by Anderson Santana.

She has worked with well-known dance professionals: 

Aurora Bosch, Joysane Josyane Consoli, Isabelle Ciaravola, Monique Loudière, Guylaine Franchetti, Marie-Claude Dubus, Claude Atanassoff, Anderson Santana, Jacques Marsa, Tracy Owens and others

She began work as ballerina at the Sofia Opera and Ballet in September 2014.

Distinctions and awards from national and international ballet competitions:

  • 2008 – Golden Medal from the French Federation Dance Art, Paris, France;
    • 2009 – Fourth Prize from the Chausson d’Or International Ballet Competition, Paris, France;
    • 2009 – First Prize from the Aix-en-Provence International Ballet Competition, France;
    • 2012 – Silver Medal from the Lyon International Ballet Competition, France;
    • 2014 – First Prize and Special Prize from the Arabesque International Ballet Competition, Belgium;
    • 2015 – Second Prize from the Anastas Petrov National Ballet Competition, Dobrich, Bulgaria.
