Maria Koleva

Maria Koleva graduated as an artist from the National Academy of Art. In 2023, she got her master’s degree in “Drama theater scenography” under assoc. prof. Marina Raichinova and in 2020: a bachelor’s degree at the National Academy of Art, at the “Fashion” department. Currently, she is a postgraduate at the “Scenography” department of the National Academy of Art. During 2017, she studied at the Arts University Plymouth, the UK, as part of the “Erasmus” program and in 2023, after she successfully took part in a contest, she went to an artistic residence at Cité International des Arts in Paris, France.

She actively works as a theatrical scenographer and costumer designer on different stages.

In her artistic biography in the area of music and stage arts, she has worked on different drama and musical titles, among which: “The Dance of Death” by August Strindberg, “Art” by Yasmina Reza, “The Land of Smiles” by Franz Lehar, “Philoktet” by Heiner Muller, “Love is in the Airship” and others.
