Manuela Paladin Šabanović

Manuela Paladin Šabanović was born in 1980 in Rijeka. Since 2011, she has been employed at the Croatian National Theater Ivan pl. Zajca in Rijeka, as the artistic director of costume equipment and costume designer. She designed costumes for over a hundred plays in the country and abroad. She is a permanent collaborator of choreographer Leo Mujić, with whom he created a series of successful performances as the ballet "Glembajevi" , “ Pride and Prejudice” and Hamlet at the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb,  the musical "Beauty and the Beast" at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb, “ Seherezade and her tales” at the  Latvian Opera and Ballet in Riga, the ballet “ Anna Karenina” at the National Opera and ballet in Sofia, “ The great Gatsby in Ljubljana and “ Carmen” at Teatro Massimo in Palermo. She is the author of the costumes for the performance at the Eurovision Song Contest, for the Rijeka rock band Let 3 with the song "Mama ŠČ". She won the Croatian Theater Award for the best costume design in 2017 for the ballet performance "Glembajevi". She was nominated for the same award in 2018 for the costume design of the play "And fleas cough" and in 2021 for the costume design of the ballet "Pride and Prejudice".
