Biography

Carlotta Colombo began her singing training at the age of 16. After graduating in Opera from the Conservatory in Como, she earned a Level II Diploma in Opera and Renaissаnce and Baroque singing, studying with Alessandra Ruffini and Roberto Balconi. Miss Colombo also got a First-Class Honours Degree in Philosophy from the University of Milan. Her work as a concertist has allowed her to perform at the forefront of several national and international music events including Bologna Festival, Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, Festival MiTo, Urbino Musica Antica, Stresa Festival, Salzburger Festspiele, Styriarte - Graz, Resonanzen - Wien, Trigonale, Osterfestival in Tirol, Schwetzingen Festival, Klangvokal Musikfestival - Dortmund, Arolser Barock-Festspiele, Printemps des Arts - Montecarlo, Wratislavia Cantans, Brighton Early Music Festival, Musica Sacra Maastricht, Festtage Alte Musik Basel, Festival Cervantino - Guanajuato, performing as a soloist in important concert halls, such as: Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro Sociale in Como, Teatro Comunale in Ferrara, Teatro alla Pergola in Florence, Boulez Saal in Berlin, Theater an der Wien, Wiener Konzerthaus, Haus für Mozart in Salzburg, Opéra de Monte-Carlo, Teatro Juàrez in Guanajuato, Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. Carlotta has sung with prominent ensemble in the international music scene, including: Ensemble Zefiro, Concerto Romano, Il Pomo d’Oro, La Venexiana, laBarocca, EUBO, Les Musiciens du Prince, Boston Early Music Festival Orchestra, Orchestre National d’Auvergne, Anima&Corpo. She has collaborated with many of the baroque’s leading conductors, including Gianluca Capuano, Dmitry Sinkovsky, Enrico Onofri, Alfredo Bernardini, Francesco Corti, Alessandro Quarta and Alessandro Cadario. In 2022 she was named a finalist in the International Cesti Competition in Innsbruck. She has recorded for Glossa, Arcana, CPO, Dynamic, Brilliant Classics.
