Biography

Ina Petrova is a lyric soprano who easily portrays both lyrical and dramatic characters.

She graduated in 2011 from the National Academy of Music “Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia. She perfected her technique and interpretation in the master classes of Raina Kabaivanska, Anna Tomowa-Sintow and Darina Takova. In 2011 she made her debut in the role of Fiordiligi from Mozart's “Così fan tutte” in the Burgas Opera. In 2012 she joined the Varna State Opera as a artist soloist, where she debuted in the roles of Zornitsa from “Mad Gidia”, Mimi from the opera “La bohème” by G. Puccini, Donna Elvira from the opera “Don Giovanni”, Alice Ford from Verdi's opera “Falstaff”.

She has participated in various operettas and musicals, including Csardas Princess as Sylva Varescu.

She joined the Sofia National Opera and Ballet as a soloist where she began her participation in Richard Wagner's “Der Ring des Nibelungen”, in the characters of Norn, Rhinetauchter, and Waltraute from “Die Walküre”.

She made her debut in the character of Clorinda from Rossini's opera “La cenerentola” as well as the character of Zerlina from Mozart's opera “Don Giovanni”.
