Diana Vasileva

Biography

Diana Vasileva was born in Burgas. She graduated in opera singing at the New Bulgarian University. She has given concerts at the Congrescentrum, the Netherlands, and has participations in opera productions in France.

She is a laureate of the 8th International Competition for Young Singers in Edirne, Turkey, in 2005 and the 4th National Opera Competition "Prof. Hristo Brambarov" in Sofia in 2006.

In 2006-2007, she gave concerts as a soloist with the Strauss Festival Orchestra in Italy, Spain, Salzburg ("Mozarteum"), Denmark, Switzerland, Portugal.

In 2007 she won a scholarship from the Master Class of Raina Kabaivanska.

Laureate of "New Voices" of the National Opera and Ballet – Sofia in 2008. The following year, she toured in "Lakmé" at the 11th Aphrodite Festival, Paphos, Cyprus. In the same year 2009, she is a laureate of the Ghena Dimitrova National Competition – Pleven, Bulgaria, and has appearances in the Master Class of Raina Kabaivanska in Siena, Italy. Laureate of the Amici Dei Loggiatto International Opera Competition in Sarzana, Italy, and a scholarship in the master class of Raina Kabaivanska, Luigi Alva and Giuseppe Sabatini.

She has participated in Palma de Mallorca, Sarajevo, Ruse, Pravets, Veliko Tarnovo, Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Stara Zagora, Pleven.

She has made recordings for the Bulgarian National Radio.
