Biography

He graduated in ecology at the St. Kliment Ohridski Sofia University, but his attraction to music took him as a chorister to the ensemble "Te Deum", and later to the Academy of Music, where he studied with Neli Bozhkova and Nikola Nikolov.

In 2003, he made his debut at the Sofia Opera in "Un Ballo in Maschera" (Verdi), a year later in "Don Giovanni" (Mozart), then in "Don Carlo", "Rigoletto" (Verdi) and a series of central bass parts in "Die Zauberflöte" (Mozart), "Les Contes d’Hoffmann" (Offenbach), "Tosca", "Gianni Schicchi" (Puccini) and others.

Angel Hristov has also toured successfully in Germany, Switzerland and Japan.
