On the 14th of March, 11am, at Club “Opera”, we invite you to assoc. prof. Petar Plamenov’s concert lecture: “You are the spring I long for: women protagonists in Richard Wagner’s “Der Ring des Nibelungen” tetralogy”
Why are the women protagonists in the “Der Ring des Nibelungen” tetralogy the true moral compasses of the male protagonists otherwise consumed by a lust for power and blinded by passion? Does a woman not only walk more humbly on the spiritual path but also possess a better sense of orientation? Can her intuition save not only the one she loves but the entire world as well?
Specially participating in the matinee: Gergana Rusekova who will perform a fragment from “Die Walküre” and Maria Pavlova who will perform the Forest bird’s part from “Siegfried” under the accompaniment of Stoyan Martinov.
The lecture will also be accompanied by specially chosen topic related video materials.
