Asmik Grigoryan blessed the audience with six arias and an encore: an impressive performance under the conductorship of maestro Daniel Oren. “McBeth”, “Madama Butterfly”, “Eugene Onegin”, “Tosca”, “Manon Lescaut” and “Rusalka” filled the hall with grace and the Armenian song “Zherav” by Komitas brought the viewers to tears.
The applause didn’t end: the orchestra, choir and Grigoryan were met with a long heartfelt ovation.
Just the previous day, during the 2025 International opera awards ceremony at the Athens Opera, Asmik Grigoryan won the prestigious “Singer of the year” award in the “Female voice” category for the third time.
After the concert, the audience saw footage of her receiving the prize as well as her thank-you speech. Acad. Plamen Kartaloff presented miss Grigoryan with an honorary diploma.
The full hall witnessed the art of one of the leading world opera stars: an artist with technique, style and presence which completely justify her having been chosen as “Singer of the year”.
