THE SOFIA OPERA WAGNER FESTIVAL
Presented in Amsterdam at the “Opera Europa” Spring conference

On the 28th of March, 11am, at the “Richard Wagner” opera club, we invite you to a meeting and discussion with Plamen Kartaloff.
The audience will have the privilege of introducing itself with the presentation of the Sofia Opera Wagner festival which Kartaloff held during the “Opera Europa” Spring conference in Amsterdam. During a special session, various European festivals dedicated to different composers were presented: “Handel” in Halle, “Rossini” in Pesaro, “Smetana” in Litomyšl, “Yanacek” in Brno and “Wagner” in Sofia.
With the participation of singers Alma-Lisa Bandalovska, Kostadin Andreev, Martin Iliev, Angel Hristov, Mila Mihova and Eleonora Dzhodzhoska-Mladenova (the latter will debut in the role of Violetta in “La Traviata”. Under the piano accompaniment of Yolanta Smolyanova, they will perform select fragments from operas by Wagner and “La Traviata” by Verdi.
Sofia Opera orchestra members will deliver a special surprise.
