Today, the Sofia Opera greeted a group of curious students from the city of Nidri on the island of Lefkada, Greece.

Thirty teenagers aged 14-15 chose to make their trip to Sofia unforgettable by visiting our building and immersing themselves into the Sofia Opera’s atmosphere.

By their teachers’ initiative, a special tour was arranged during which the students got to see the building, its history and learn of the Sofia Opera’s plethora of international contacts with other theaters, including with ones (and festivals) in Greece.

The guests had the opportunity to see a part of the rehearsal for the “The Great Gatsby” ballet and the meeting closed with a performance by the composer and pianist Valentin Stamov: an original piece of his dedicated to the Greek composer Panos Triandafilidis.
