The emblematic first digital campaign “CLASSICS are COOL too” of the Sofia Opera and Ballet in the social networks aroused great interest and the highest award in one of the most contested categories for Influencer Marketing at the digital “Oscars” IAB MIXX Awards 2022. The opera is the only an institution other than an agency awarded in the big International Marketing Competition.
The award was handed out to Hristina Staneva, Deputy Director of the Sofia Opera and Simeona Gerdzhikova, Head of Digital Marketing at the largest cultural institution in Bulgaria.
In the summer of 2021, the team working in marketing and advertising began a bold and active process of innovation of the marketing practices of the Opera, which in just a few months led to significant results and many congratulations. The goal of the team is more and more to attract and inspire the young audience, combining successful business practices with opera and ballet.
The IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau) Awards - MIXX Awards Bulgaria choose the best in interactive marketing every year. The awards are for digital professionalism, and the winners motivate the entire digital industry and set the latest trends in the industry. The IAB MIXX Awards are accepted not only as the highest performance in the world for the best campaigns, but as a competition for the entire digital industry.
The campaign of the Sofia Opera and Ballet was awarded by an entirely international jury among 152 applications from some of the largest brands and agencies on the Bulgarian market. The award brings high marks and recognition for the successful combination of business practices and artistic arts of the largest cultural institution in Bulgaria.
