The Sofia Opera and Ballet to open its new season on the 26th and the 28th of September with “Tosca” with the participation of the world-famous soprano Maria Jose Siri.
Born in Uruguay and with an Italian heritage, she is among the brightest performers of Verdi and Puccini’s works.
She debuted in Europe in 2008 and later opened the season at “La Scala” starring in “Madama Butterfly”. She won the international “Oscar de la Lirica” award and performs at the biggest stages in the world: from “La Scala” in Milano and Covent Garden to Arena di Verona.
Her performances impress the audience with dramatism and power and this autumn she will bring Tosca to life on the Sofia Opera and Ballet stage.
