The Sofia Opera’s 16th summer festival “Opera at the Park” opened today with “Animal Carnival”, score by Camille Saint-Saëns, at the “G.S. Rakovski” Military academy park in Sofia.
Performance director: Yuliya Krasteva; score adaptation by Stefan Nedyalkov; verses by Vanya Ivanova.
The story of Maya and her animal friends entertained both young viewers and their parents. Starring: Tsvetiana Kostova, Rada Toteva, Diana Genova, Kalin Dushkov, Georgi Dzhanov, Plamen Dimov-Grandzhan, Kiril Ivanov, Filip Ivanov, Elena Kozhushkova, Yoanna-Mikaela Dimitrova, Fey Shams and Polina Videnova.
The festival continues until the 6th of July, with performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, starting at 10, 11 and 16pm, respectively.
With the support of the Sofia Municipality cultural events Calendar, 2025, and under the patronage of Mr. Vasil Terziev, mayor of the Sofia Municipality, part of the “Opera at the Park” program.
