The performance of “La Traviata” at the Sofia Opera ended last evening with applause and “Bravo!” shouts. The wonderful arias, duets and choir scenes were solemnly welcomed by the audience.
In this legendary production of Giuseppe Verdi’s masterpiece, many of our performers have made their first career steps in the role every soprano singer dreams of. In recent years, Milla Mihova and Alexandrina Mihailova have done this. The audience accepted our youngest soloist Eleonora Dzhodzhoska-Mladenova with love and respect.
Eleonora debuted at the Sofia Opera in the role of the First lady in “The Magic Flute” by Mozart in 2024; just a year later, she also performed the role of Pamina in the same opera. The young singer achieved her big triumph in 2025 when she successfully performed as Elizabeth in “Tannhäuser” by Richard Wagner. Violetta is the new challenge the young singer took on.
In just two weeks, Eleonora Dzhodzhoska-Mladenova will again perform as Pamina in “The Magic Flute” performances dedicated to the 270th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s birth.
The young singers’ debut was supported with lots of collegial warmth by Reinaldo Droz as Alfredo, Ventseslav Anastasov as Giorgio Germont, Petar Buchkov as Baron Dufol, Tsveta Sarambelieva as Flora, Blagovesta Mekki-Tsvetkova as Anina and Angel Hristov as doctor Grenvil.
With the participation of the Sofia Opera lead singers, orchestra and choir; conductor: Zhorzh Dimitrov; choirmaster: Violeta Dimitrova.
