The Sofia municipality awards for impressive cultural achievements, 2025, were presented during a solemn ceremony at the National art gallery; these awards mark the impressive cultural achievements of artists and artist teams working in Sofia.

In the “Dance art” category, the Sofia Opera Ballet received a prestigious award for its performance in Sergei Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet” (choreography and directorship by Kaloyan Boyadzhiev).

Marta Petkova, Sofia Opera Ballet artistic director, accepted the award. Among the prize bearers are also Pavel Koichev (sculptor), Garo Keshishyan and Nadezhda Pavlova (photographers), the “Kino” magazine team, composer Georgi Arnaudov, actress Stanka Kalcheva and other renowned artists.  

The actor Rusi Chanev is the bearer of the Special Sofia Award for exceptional achievements and contributions to national culture.
